PfSense is like the multitool of networking software. Thats about the limit of my knowledge though. The interface exists as part of both the network (with its IP) and the virtual LAN (with its vlan number).

Rather I am running Pi-hole/Wireguard on the cloud and playing with other things like V2ray/Trojan as well on the cloud.I do not have dual WAN. All in all, I intend to use pfSense as the learning tool for networking, maybe go down to lower packet level using tcpdump/wireshark.I am not interested in running servers at home (including OpenVPN and Wireguard) and I do not want to access home network from outside. It may have something to do with firewall rules or igmp snooping.Other than that, I am also interested in VLAN separation and pfBlockerNG (currently using Pi-hole) as well as various networking tools within pfSense. That is what I am doing now, going through various videos on pfSense, especially those from Lawrence systems.My requirements are pretty modest but Singtel TV can be the road blocker as of now.
I have one smart switch (TL-SG105E) though and I will use it first with pfSense.
